Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: your email address.
• Documents you provide: resume and LinkedIn text, job descriptions, and details you add. Uploaded files are read in your browser; we store the extracted text, not the original file.
• Results: your profile, analyses, tailored resumes and interview prep.
• Billing: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Usage: counts of AI requests and their size, used for cost control and abuse prevention.

How we use it

Only to provide the service: to analyze your fit for jobs you choose, generate your documents, keep your history, and bill you. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. We don't share your documents with employers or other users.

AI processing

We ask for your consent before processing. Your document text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce your results. Anthropic processes it on our behalf under its commercial terms. You can withdraw consent at any time from Privacy & data in the app; we won't process new documents until you consent again.

Service providers and where your data is stored

• Supabase: database and sign-in (servers in the United States)
• Vercel: hosting (servers in the United States)
• Anthropic: AI processing (United States). Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use our customers' content to train its models and keeps it only for a limited period for safety and abuse monitoring.
• Stripe: payments (we never see or store your full card number)

Your information is stored and processed outside Canada, mainly in the United States, and may be accessible to courts and authorities there under local law. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to Canadian law.

Privacy officer

Our person responsible for privacy is the Privacy Officer, [name to be added], reachable at privacy@fitproof.ca. Contact them to access, correct or delete your information, withdraw consent, or make a complaint. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the Commission d'accès à l'information if you live in Quebec.

Your rights

You can access, correct, download or delete your information, and withdraw consent to AI processing, at any time from Privacy & data in the app or by contacting us. Residents of Quebec also have the rights given by Quebec's private-sector privacy law, including the right to data portability.

Age

The service is for people aged 16 and over.

Data breaches

If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires, and we keep a record of every breach.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data until you delete it. You can delete individual analyses, or your whole account, from the app. Deleting your account removes your profile, analyses, usage records and login immediately, and cancels any subscription. Stripe keeps payment records as required by law.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers. Your records are accessible only through your signed-in account.
